Testimonial: Armagh & Tyrone First Responders

Meet Aiden, a dedicated first responder for Armagh and Tyrone. Aiden purchased SafeShel in 2024 and believes it plays a critical role in preventing hypothermia. During medical emergencies, it has allowed responders to manage casualties’ core body temperatures while providing much-needed privacy.

Privacy and Dignity Under Pressure

During a critical response, maintaining patient privacy is often impossible — especially in public spaces or high-traffic environments. SafeShel offers an instant barrier between the casualty and the public, shielding individuals from onlookers and social media exposure, while giving responders the focus they need.

This is especially crucial when administering treatments like CPR or defibrillation, where a dry and stable environment can directly affect outcomes.

Designed by a Responder, for Responders

SafeShel was developed by Peter, a dedicated volunteer with the Greenore Coast Guard Unit and a seasoned emergency responder with over 40 years of experience. Having witnessed the challenges of field operations firsthand, he recognised the urgent need for a portable shelter that could protect both casualties and the teams providing life-saving care. His goal was clear: to create a rapid-deploy solution that upholds patient dignity, enhances responder safety, and improves clinical outcomes – in any environment.

Proven in the Field: Supporting Real-World Rescues

During a recent training exercise, the Greenore Coast Guard Unit deployed SafeShel as part of their casualty care setup — demonstrating just how effective it is in real-world conditions. Whether shielding a patient from harsh weather or creating a private, focused space for responders to work, SafeShel delivered practical support when it mattered most.
